Each member district designates one primary representative to serve on the NCSDIA Board, ensuring consistent participation and a clear line of communication between the district and NCSDIA. In addition, districts may appoint an alternate to attend and participate in meetings when the primary representative is unavailable, helping maintain continuity in decision-making and engagement.

All representatives and alternates are formally appointed by their respective district governing boards, reinforcing accountability and alignment with each district’s leadership. This structure ensures that every member district has an informed and authorized voice at the Board level, while also providing flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs and sustain active participation throughout the year.
